Halloween Safety Tips

Central Fire Protection District would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Halloween!  As you get ready to head out the door for some trick-or-treating this year, keep the following Halloween Safety Tips in mind...

  • Carry a flashlight when trick or treating for better visibility
  • Cross the street only at crosswalks or corners
  • Don’t enter the homes of people you don’t know
  • Inspect your treats before eating them
  • Approach only well lit homes
  • Remind children to call 911 in the event of an emergency
  • Don’t accept rides from strangers
  • Stay away from loose or fenced animals
  • Plan where your children are going and when they will be home
  • Trick or Treat in groups
